Live online summer intensives for creative kids and teens who want to write songs, produce tracks, compose for film or games, and grow through real projects in a small group.

GarageBand for Beginners

Make Your First Track

Ages 9–13 Beginner

Create a first complete track using loops, virtual instruments, beats, chords, and simple effects.

Final project: Finished original track

Logic Pro Intensive

Produce & Mix

Ages 13–18 Intermediate / Advanced

Develop an existing idea through MIDI, audio editing, arrangement, effects, automation, and mixing.

Final project: Completed production or mix

What you need: Mac with Logic Pro; prior DAW experience

Songwriting Lab

Ages 10–17 Beginner / Intermediate

Turn an idea into a song through lyrics, melody, chords, structure, hooks, and creative revision.

Final project: Original song and simple demo

What you need: Computer or tablet; instrument optional

Film Scoring Intensive

Score the Scene

Ages 12–18 Beginner / Intermediate

Compose for a fixed film scene using emotion, timing, motifs, hit points, and musical storytelling.

Final project: Short film scene with original music

What you need: Mac; software requirements announced before enrollment

Music for Video Games

Build a Game Soundtrack

Ages 11–17 Beginner / Intermediate

Create loops, musical layers, transitions, stingers, and contrasting exploration and action cues.

Final project: Small interactive-style soundtrack

What you need: Mac or iPad with GarageBand or Logic Pro

Explore. Play. Improvise.

Introduction to Jazz Piano

Ages 11–18 2+ years of piano

Discover seventh chords, lead sheets, swing, blues, shell voicings, and beginning improvisation.

Final project: Jazz standard and improvised blues

What you need: Piano or 88-key digital piano

Age ranges are planning guidelines. Final groups will be formed according to age, experience, enrollment, and schedule compatibility.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is joining the interest list the same as registering?

No. The interest list does not reserve a place and no deposit is collected. It gives your family early access to dates, tuition, and priority registration when enrollment opens.

How long will each program last?

The current plan is one live online intensive lasting one week. Exact daily times and total instructional hours will be announced with the Summer 2027 schedule.

Can a student join more than one lab?

Yes. Each lab is designed as an independent experience. Families may choose one session or register for several, depending on the final schedule and availability.

Will every listed lab definitely run?

Programs will be confirmed based on interest, student readiness, compatible ages, and minimum enrollment. Joining the interest list helps determine which sessions should be scheduled.
